Measuring the effects of sophrology

This is the approach currently being taken by the National Observatory for Sophrology. This association of sophrologists having been trained in sophrology schools different are currently conducting a study to find out the effects of the method. It involves sophrologists so that they collect patient testimonials.

Anne Laure Mausner, sophrologist in Boulonnais, explains that the study – which covers all audiences and all issues (from tinnitus to exam preparation) – must allow to assess the state of the person before and after sophrology protocols, according to assessment scales which have scientific recognition. Practitioners offer multiple choice questionnaires to people coming to follow sessions. Anne-Laure Mausner was thus able to measure the impact of her work. Thanks to the data collected, the practitioner knows in particular that 3/4 of her anxious patients notice an improvement after having followed her sessions. The effects are more important when the anxiety results in physiological manifestations, worry or hypersensitivity.
