Is the coronavirus epidemic forcing you to work at home?

In this context of the coronavirus epidemic, many of you are teleworking. Let’s dig into its positive sides and see some sophro tips to easily go through this period.

It’s good for health !

Based on a US scientific research, telecommuting is now proved to be healthier. Not only viruses can be caught at the office! The study shows that the lack of politeness and the bad mood of your colleagues can also be contagious!

In practice

Despite its benefits, when it comes to real life, finding the proper organization can be tricky. You may run out of space and find it difficult to transition from professional to private life. Staying focused on work can be difficult due to external tempting distractions, available on hand.

Sophro tips

Sophrologist Catherine Aliotta gives us some exercises to help you overcome these issues.

You need: Concentration

Chain to repeat 3 times.

In the room where you are installed, stand upright, parallel legs apart from the width of the pelvis. Eyes closed, arms close to the body. Inhale, then hold your breath for a few seconds. Rotate the pelvis to the right, then to the left. Your arms will naturally rotate around you as if they were defining a space. Imagine that you are creating a separation between your professional and personal space. You create your bubble, in which nothing can disturb you. After enjoying the feeling of being within your bubble, you can exhale through your mouth and stop the movement. Breathe naturally and observe your physical and mental sensations.

You need to: Make the transition between professional and personal life

Logging out of your work environment is essential. This exercise will help you.

Seated, eyes closed, release your body. Inhale and blow slowly through your mouth. Imagine that there are two books in front of you: stands for your work the other, your private life. Open the first one and dive into your daily professional achievements.  Close this book. Now open the other book. Imagine how you could fill these blank pages with joyful and nourishing activities for the next few hours. This can be done using pictures or words.

Now all you have to do is enjoy your personal time. You will be even more efficient the day after.
